TO BE A LAMB
Membership is open to any female Sam Houston State University student, who is pursuing or wanting to persue
a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
No individual will be refused membership on the grounds of race, national origin, age, handicap, appearance,
or social status.
Pledge Requirements:
1. Must be under or seeking the covering of a church home.
2. Must be actively involved in a Bible study.
3. Must attend 80% of the pledge and active meetings.
4. Must pay semester dues to Sigma Phi Lambda.
5. Must attend the pledge retreat.
6. Must attend Phi Lamb prayer group once a week.
7. She must fulfill her service requirement.
*She also is assigned a Big Sis, an active who supports her during her pledgeship.
At the end her pledgeship (1 semester), she must attend the initiation ceremony. This ceremony is held in
a church and there is never any hazing.
